Competition Terms & Conditions

The promoter is Chichester Shutters Ltd ( company no. 5583069) whose registered office is at Barn 3, Kingley Centre, Downs Rd, Chichester, West Sussex PO18 9HJ.

Entry Requirements

1. The competition is open for properties within a 1-hour drive time of Chichester, West Sussex, UK. You must be the homeowner to claim the prize.
2. Customer’s of Chichester Shutters with an order in progress cannot apply the prize fund retrospectively but can be used against a new order. Those with an outstanding estimate/quote, but has not ordered, can apply the prize fund to their order.
3. Employees of Chichester Shutters, their close relatives and anyone otherwise connected with the organisation are exempt from entering the competition.
4. There is no entry fee and no purchase necessary to enter this competition.
5. By entering this competition, an entrant is indicating his/her agreement to be bound by these terms and conditions.

How to Enter

1. Route to entry for the competition and details of how to enter are via https://www.chichestershutters.co.uk/competition-october-2024/
2. Only one entry will be accepted per property. Multiple entries from the same property will be disqualified.
3. Closing date for entry will be Sunday 3rd November at 11:59pm. After this date the no further entries to the competition will be permitted.
4. No responsibility can be accepted for entries not received for whatever reason.
5. The rules of the competition and how to enter are as follows: Fill in the simple form with your name, email address, contact number, property address and two simple questions. Submitting this form will give you one entry into the competition.
6. The promoter reserves the right to cancel or amend the competition and these terms and conditions without notice in the event of a catastrophe, war, civil or military disturbance, act of God or any actual or anticipated breach of any applicable law or regulation or any other event outside of the promoter’s control. Any changes to the competition will be notified to entrants as soon as possible by the promoter.
7. The promoter is not responsible for inaccurate prize details supplied to any entrant by any third party connected with this competition.

The Prize

1. The prize is up to £2500 worth of shutters for one property address. All measuring and fitting is included in the prize. The value of the shutters will be determined by the full price of the chosen material, void of any discount. If there isn’t enough windows/doors to reach the £2500 limit, the prize will be capped to the maximum possible for the property.
2. The material used for the shutter will be determined by the promoter and dependent on what is most suited to the property/openings.
3. The prize is as stated and no cash or other alternatives will be offered. The prizes are not transferable. Prizes are subject to availability and we reserve the right to substitute any prize with another of equivalent value without giving notice.

The Winner

1. The winner will be chosen at random by software, from all entries received and verified by Promoter and or its agents.
2. The winner will be announced on a Facebook Live on Thursday 7th November at 6pm, and will be notified by email and/or phone call within 7 days of the announcement. The winner will only ever be contacted by Chichester Shutters Ltd. If the winner cannot be contacted or do not claim the prize within 28 days of notification, we reserve the right to withdraw the prize from the winner and pick a replacement winner.
3. The promoter will notify the winner when the order will be placed and fitted once claimed. This is at the discretion of the promoter based on supplier lead times at time of order (please note this will be at least 16 weeks from order).
4. The promoter’s decision in respect of all matters to do with the competition will be final and no correspondence will be entered into.
5. The winner agrees to the use of his/her full name, image and photos of the property in any publicity material, as well as their entry. Any personal data relating to the winner or any other entrants will be used solely in accordance with current UK data protection legislation and will not be disclosed to a third party without the entrant’s prior consent.
6. The winner’s full name used on the Facebook Live and visible on the Chichester Shutters Facebook page after the announcement. It will also be available 28 days after closing date by emailing info@chichestershutters.co.uk
7. By entering this competition, an entrant is indicating his/her agreement to be bound by these terms and conditions.

The Legal Stuff

1. The competition and these terms and conditions will be governed by English law and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England.
2. This promotion is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with, Facebook, Twitter or any other Social Network. You are providing your information to Chichester Shutters Ltd and not to any other party. The information provided will be used in conjunction with the following Privacy Policy found at https://www.chichestershutters.co.uk/privacy-policy/
3. Chichester Shutters shall have the right, at its sole discretion and at any time, to change or modify these terms and conditions, such change shall be effective immediately upon posting to this webpage.
4. Chichester Shutters also reserves the right to cancel the competition if circumstances arise outside of its control.
5. Entry into the competition will be deemed as acceptance of these terms and conditions.
