“If you are looking to get shutters, I would thoroughly recommend Chichester Shutters“

We’ve just had two 9 feet wide x 5 feet high bay window shutters fitted by Luke and Mike. What a lovely job! Both myself and my wife are perfectionists and the installation and appearance are faultless.

We found Chichester Shutters from the internet via their other company Opennshut. I watched all their You Tube videos and when Sam, who ‘stars’ in the videos came to measure up, I was impressed. He took a full two hours on the survey, complete with laser levels. He also took us through the various options on finish, slat size etc. The price quoted, considering it’s for a bespoke product, was reasonable.

The fitters turned up on time, even though we live probably on the edge of their installation range. They both wore overshoes (always a good sign!) and covered the working area with a clean dust sheet. They quietly got on with assembling and fitting the shutters.

Once complete they showed us how they operated and how to fit the spare slats if ever there was a need to.
If you are looking to get shutters (they do look smart!) I would thoroughly recommend Chichester Shutters.

I found Chichester Shutters through the internet, having had an initial visit from Hilarys, probably thanks to all their tv ads but I was not convinced that they were offering what I wanted, despite their array of choices, supposed ‘discounts’ and virtual snazzy video. So, I phoned up this lovely local family window shutters team in Chichester – and I am so thankful that I did so! Their shutter designs are both superior in style and practicality (it opens and closes using a magnet, instead of having to bother with all that folding back business).

Their Rep (boss!) is actually employed to install them and was able to advise on what best to do about the current curtain rail etc. In the end, they kindly sorted out those hassles for Us, themselves. They also phoned to offer to install them several weeks ahead of the planned reasonable schedule, when they easily need not have bothered. They took considerable Care and tidied, throughout the quick installation; they didn’t bat an eyelid at either Our family or dog chaos.

Most importantly, the shutters look really smart plus have also reduced any issues that we had with Condensation. I gather that they can be removed temporarily and reinstalled, should we ever need to replace the windows in the future. I was very apprehensive that they might not blackout the streetlight but Gary and the gang were patiently reassuring about these concerns, which were unfounded. I feel confident that if I had any follow up queries (they thoughtfully provided some spare parts that I am keeping safe, in the hope that I may never need them) that they would happily pop down the road to help, too. Gary and Sam were on the ball throughout, keeping us updated on production and delivery. A date for fitting was agreed and fitters, Luke and Mike arrived on time. The process of fitting took about two hours during which Luke and Mike were polite and engaging, explaining what they were doing and working in a tidy manner.
