Take a look at our Tier On Tier Shutters!
It’s possible to split plantation shutters so the top half can open independently from the bottom half. These are called tier on tier shutters or top opening shutters. This style can look great on large windows and particularly in circumstances where you want privacy from the lower section but still want to let some light in.
However, tier on tier shutters only work for windows that are taller than they are wide due to the horizontal T Post. So you can’t have this design on any window, it needs to be carefully considered.
