How are shutters fitted to normal recess windows?

Recessed windows are the most popular styles of window, you would normally find a UPVC or wooden casement window within a recess. Like you would expect to see in a typical new build house.

The window design in the video is split into two and divided with a centre mullion, so there are two shutters and a centre Tpost to match.

They are fitted in a 4 sided frame, with a neat shadow gap all the way around.

To open a shutter, just tilt the louvres and grab hold of the side stile and give it a tug, they have magnets holding them closed within the shutter frame.

You can open the shutters right up to gain access to the window for cleaning or to open a window, but they normally stay closed, so to adjust the louvres, just move one to the angle you want.
