What to do if you have air vents, large handles or air vents on your windows.

We normally try and fit the shutter frame as close to the window as possible, so if you have an air vent or alarm point, there are two things that we can do.

If you have a deep enough recess you can

  1. Fit the shutter frame slightly away from the vent or alarm
  2. The shutter frame could be cut out around the vent allowing the shutter to still be fitted close to the window.

If the frame is fitted further away from the window, you will end up with a dust trap between the window and shutter frame, this gap can be filled with a bottom frame buildout for a neater finish.

If you have large protruding window handles, they can be swapped for a small neat low profile design allowing the shutters to be fitted closer to the window.
